Focus on the Target, not the Trouble

Dr. PC describes the two mind-sets that a golfer can get himself into. These are the success focused mind-set and the failure focused one. Not surprisingly we should really be looking to get into the success focused one. When you get on the tee do you immediately think about the hazards and trouble instead of the target? Yes, me too! Well we should not worry too much about hitting the bad shot. Dr. Cohn acknowledges that the trouble must be considered when planning the shot but it should not be the focus. Instead we should focus on the plan and the execution of the shot. We need to get "tunnel vision".
