On Plane Golf Backswing Made Easy

Mark Wood, PGA Advanced Professional shows you a very simple technique that acts as a check and a drill to get your backswing and down swing on plane. Getting your swing on plane is a key to a reliable swing that you can count on. Mark does not pad this video out at all with all the footage relating directly to the drill. The drill uses two alignment sticks; one forms an extension to the shaft with the other placed behind the ball pointing at the target. An on-plane swing results with the first alignment stick pointing at the ball mid-way through the backswing. An off-plane swing becomes evident if the stick is point more towards the toes (too steep a back swing) or away from the ball (to flat a back swing). This is nice short and easy to replicate drill.
